Important Dates & Deadlines

  • February 8, 2025 — Online application starts on Feb 8, 2025. Please use this Application Form to submit your application by March 16, 2025. Please note that to open the Application Form, you need to sign into your Google account because we are collecting your resume and other files.
  • March 16, 2025 — Application will be closed at midnight (EST) on March 16, 2025.
  • April 13, 2025 — Admission Decisions released through email
  • April 20, 2025 — Deadline for acceptance confirmation, parent agreement, tuition payment, and university policy agreement
  • June 23, 2025 — MIT Summer Academy starts at MIT campus



Application Requirements

Note: Only Rising 10th-12th graders that are US Citizens / Green Card Holders are eligible to apply.

  • School Transcript
    • Uploaded to Google form; there is no minimum GPA Requirement
  • Two Short Answer Prompts: (500 words or less)
  • Student Resume
  • SAT/ACT/PSAT/PACT Scores, if available
  • Application Fee of $30, paid through Zelle to AAASE.org@gmail.com

Tuition*

Lifetime Member**: $800

Others:  $1,200


Note

*Tuition is due upon acceptance of admission (April 20, 2025) and includes lunches and entry for one guest to the reception.

**Applicants must be children of AAASE lifetime members who have been verified by January 31, 2025.



FAQ

  • Can I apply to both the MIT and Silicon Valley locations?
    • NO, please choose one to apply with no exception.
  • Does MIT Academy provide accommodation/room?
    • No, it doesn't. It is a day camp and boarding is not provided. However, the Silicon Valley camp is residential.
  • I have a rising 9th grader. Is he/she eligible for the camp?
    • MIT Academy only accept rising 10th -12th graders.
  • What is the selection criteria? What kind of students are you looking for?
    • The students are selected based on their academic record, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, and passion and motivation to learn
  • How many students are enrolled in camp?
    • 50 students enroll each year.
  • Where can I find the program information?
    • We are building this year's program.
  • What does a typical day at camp look like?
  • Do I need to prepare lunch?
    • Lunch is provided every day.
  • Is there financial support for students who can’t afford the camp?
    • Unfortunately, we don’t have a financial program this year.
  • Where is the camp located?
    • Camp takes place on MIT campus. The address is 32 Vassar Street Cambridge, Massachusetts 02139
  • How can the student be eligible for lifetime member tuition?
    • Please refer to our website aaase.org on membership application. The student’s parent must be a lifetime member by Jan 31st, 2025 to be eligible for the lifetime member tuition.
